IMCS Marine and Cargo surveyors - IMCS Training Academy
IMCS Training Academy
Over the years, the level of expertise of several of our IMCS Staff has drawn the attention of the maritime industry. As a result, several of our staff are asked to take the stand at both national and international conferences, seminars and debates.
Also IMCS Group Members, Associate Members and Affiliate Members contribute to the marine industry by writing articles and books on a variety of subjects for different maritime industry players.

The philosophy of the IMCS Group has always been to serve the industry and reach out a helping hand where information or specialist knowledge is needed.
Being aware of the expertise and knowledge available in-house, and as IMCS Antwerp was already involved in providing training courses on a number of issues, IMCS Antwerp has decided to set up the IMCS Training Academy in January 2008.
This initiative is managed by the Chairman of the IMCS Group of Companies, Mr. W. Vervloesem, who is acting as a training consultant for many major industry players, incl. shipping companies, manufacturers of equipment for the marine industry, marine training providers, etc.
The IMCS Training Academy is able to provide tailor made training courses on a variety of issues and to assist training providers with assistance for specific projects, books and computer based training programs. Any IMCS Group website visitors who would like to know more about the IMCS Training Academy are free to contact Mr. Vervloesem on waltervervloesem@telenet.be
We are also able to advise that the IMCS Training Academy is also a founding member of the Maghellan web - Academy of Shipping and Transport (MAST). This is a recent initiative which involves a wide variety of industry players and which is intended to go live end 2008. The idea to set up MAST came after a thorough screening of the marine industry during which the practical skills required for each marine/maritime related profession (ranging from waterclerck to superintendent etc) were studied and identified. The web-Academy then obtained input and contents for training courses form the marine industry itself in order to make training courses available to the MAST members (which they can use for in-house training of their staff), as well as for any visitors of the web-site who are able to select high standard and practice-focused training courses for their personnel.
