As from April 2012, the IMCS Panama was relocated to the Canary Islands from where the Canary Islands and West-African coast can be easily covered.
After his seagoing career with the Belgian merchant navy, the managing owner of the company, Mr. Bjorn Claeys, has mainly worked in the Caribbean areas and for a short period in Singapore. He has now settled down in Las Palmas.
At the present moment, IMCS Canarias is mainly involved in ship inspection work for prospective buyers, shipping companies and shipbrokers. This work is supplemented with occasional survey and consultancy work for cargo interests.
Master Mariner, experience on liquefied gas carriers, crude oil tankers, dockship / semi-submersibles, OBO's, general cargo ships. ISM & ISPS auditor.
Ship inspections for S&P brokers, IMCA audits, pre-vetting inspections, cargo surveys.
