Transrisk, riskmanagement & consultancy B.V. was established in Rotterdam in 1979 as an independent company providing specialised services for the shipping, port and insurance industries. The core business of Transrisk is the execution of dangerous cargo inspections and facilitation of hazardous cargo flows in the Hamburg-Le Havre Range.

Today Transrisk operates with a team of 4 senior inspectors from Rotterdam/Amsterdam and Antwerp. Its offices are strategically placed in relation to the modern port areas (Rotterdam Innerport and Maasvlakte), with easy access to major road and rail systems and in close proximity to the cargo handling and transhipment sites and industrial zones. We are ideally situated to permit prompt attendance in the entire Rotterdam/Amsterdam/Antwerp (ARA) port areas.

Although the majority of our activities take place in the port and industrial zones of Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Antwerp, Transrisk also operates throughout Europe and on other continents. We have excellent contacts with reliable independent business partners in other ports and industrial areas, which is a great advantage when dealing with urgent cases.

Our approach

Transrisk is the one stop shop for liner companies, chemical manufactures, distributors and shippers, both in the port and in the hinterland. We inspect hazardous cargo inside containers, support transport-, shipping- and industrial- companies with the execution of hazardous cargo management and offer outsourcing services to facilitate the necessary requirements of new and restricted rule applications by international port authorities and customs.
